Interesting piece of Australia history and a great view around Thursday Island. A must visit if you come here. Built 1891 - 1893 as a defence against possible Russian invasion.

Very historical place. The view from the top is amazing!

Nice historical fort with great views across the ocean. The museum is interesting and only requires a gold coin donation. Well worth a trip if youre on the island.
